Permit requirements depend on your project. Before getting started, we recommend checking with your local building department to find out what’s required. We’re happy to talk through your plans and help you identify the questions to ask.

Yes. Dwell Construction carries Commercial General Liability Insurance. We’re happy to provide proof of coverage upon request. Before your renovation begins, we also recommend speaking with your home insurance provider about any requirements or changes to your coverage.

We carry out a wide range of renovation work. For specialist services such as electrical, HVAC, roofing, excavation, custom cabinetry, and architectural or engineering drawings, we can help you connect with the right professionals. We’ll discuss what Dwell handles and where other specialists are needed before work begins.

Matt brings over 25 years of hands-on construction experience, with a love of building passed down from his father and grandfather. He completed Fanshawe College’s carpentry program in 2002, earning his Ontario College Certificate. His additional training includes WHMIS, fall arrest, and mould remediation.

Our main focus is renovations, although we have worked on new home construction in the past. If you’re considering a new build, we’d be happy to hear about your plans and discuss whether Dwell is the right fit.
